I chose Hogfather for my first purchase of the new spate of 'revised' performances in this genre because there are at least two good performances of the book, one by Stephen Briggs and by the cast of the video special. Only the Accountants and Lawyers for the commercial parties involved will think this new audio recording is even close to the same level of presentation as the previous version with Stephen Briggs. Some elements of the Discworld universe may reflect this. The first book in the Discworld series – The Colour of Magic – was published in 1983.
